When AT&T volunteers visited Ronald Brown Academy in the Detroit Public Schools system, TV20 was there to capture it.
The volunteers give a half-hour a week throughout the school year to help first-graders learn to read, communicating with the classroom from the phones and computers at their desks at work. They went to the school for an end-of-the-year get-together to meet their young pupils in person.
Here’s TV20’s report, featuring Innovations for Learning’s Dan Weisberg, national director for TutorMate.
